Hello.

Welcome to my portfolio.

A cat sitting on my lap may cause this "about me" to be much shorter than I intended. My left arm is starting to fall asleep.

I’ve been working as a visual journalist for about 40 years. I started as the first editorial artist intern at the Syracuse Newspapers, and never left. Since then, I’ve held the position of staff artist, graphics editor, assistant art director, art director and page designer.

During those 30 years, I’ve redesigned the newspaper at least four times and created the design for the newspaper’s upscale magazine “Central New York”.

I love playing with typography, color and space to give readers the most pleasing way to get their news.

Over the years, I’ve received numerous awards from the Associated Press, the Syracuse Press club and SND for my work.

I live with my husband and very timid cat in a cottage just south of Atlanta.

When the sun is out, you can find me in the garden. When it’s raining, I’ll be wishing The Doctor would appear with his TARDIS and take me away on an adventure.

Okay, the cat just walked across the keyboard and has settled back down on my arm, that means it's time to stop writing.

Never move a purring cat.
